Partnership Portal on Co-deployment

Partnership Portal on Co-deployment is aimed to support ICT infrastructure co-deployment with road transport and energy infrastructure. The web- portal provides developers and owners of ICT, road and energy infrastructure and other stakeholders an opportunity:

  • to register new infrastructure facilities and find other compatible infrastructure development projects (planned or those at early development stage);
  • to make an assessment of technical compatibility and cost-effectiveness of co- deployment of infrastructure facilities;
  • to promote partnerships and cooperation on co- deployment of ICT and other infrastructure;
  • to explore the knowledge base on co-deployment of infrastructure.

The access to the toolkit was provided for the trial period to support the training needs during the series of workshops in May 2021. The toolkit was formally launched after incorporation of the inputs from peers and partners and with the updates of the knowledge base. Since May 2021 the following updates were deployed:

1. Accuracy of calculations: justification of variables that are used by portal for the calculation of economic efficiency; and creation methodology for labor cost calculation for the particular country;

2. Usability of Partnership Portal on Co-deployment of ICT infrastructure with road-transport and energy infrastructure: visual representation facilities on the map in all steps of the workflow (adding new facility, search, creation of the project); and compatibility result visualization in the form of radar with possibility to track the final estimation calculation process.

Portal

The Portal was launched during the SPECA Working Group on Innovation and Technology for Sustainable Development on 20-21 October 2021 (Bishkek), and presented at the SPECA Economic Forum and the Governing Council on 17-19 November 2021 (Tashkent).

ESCAP secretariat expresses special thanks to Dr. Vadim Kaptur for co-designing the tool and methodology and for ITTLLDC experts in organizing the capacity building workshops.

  • произвести оценку технической совместимости и рентабельности совместного развертывания объектов инфраструктуры;
  • создавать партнерства по совместному развертыванию ИКТ и другой инфраструктуры;

1. Повышение точности расчетов за счет: обоснования переменных, которые используются порталом для расчета экономической эффективности; и создание методологии расчета стоимости рабочей силы для конкретной страны;
